Marriage is one of the biggest events in a couple's lives. This is when they decide they want to be together forever.
But there's some things to remember about getting married. Because over 50% of newly married couples are now getting divorced withing their first 6 months.
For a start don't just get married for the sake of it. You should only get married if you truly want to spend the rest of your life with that person, otherwise what's the point?
A marriage is all about communicating with each other. If you're going to spend the rest of your lives with each other then you need to make sure that you can communicate.
Respect is one of the most important things in a marriage. If one of you does not have respect for the other then there is no way that the marriage will last more than a year. So make sure you respect each other.
Again this is really important if there is a lack of respect in the relationship then the marriage will not last.
It's important to remember that when you are married everything you do has an affect on your partner. So always discuss things with them and do not do things that will make them feel left out and disrespected. It's important have boundaries.
One thing that a lot of married couples find is that their partner seems to change when they get married. It seems as if their partner lets themselves go abit.
For example some people suddenly stop taking care of themselves as much after they get married which annoys their partner. Because they feel they do not need to look after themselves as much because they're not on the dating scene anymore.
A good piece of advice is to try to be the same person you were before your wedding. Do not try to change too much from the person your partner married.
