The tabloids have been creating stories this week regarding Cheryl Cole giving away a large amount of jewellery. The jewellery is said to have been given to her by Ashley Cole during their brief marriage. Many friends of Cheryl will possibly be hoping to receive some of the jewellery and it has been reported that she started to hand out the items during a recent girls night in at the mansion she used to share with Cole.
Cheryl's mother Joan is said to have received a lot of the jewellery, she has been a constant rock to Cheryl during the marriage split and is said to be living with her at the moment.
It has been said that Cheryl did not like many of the pieces that England and Chelsea footballer Cole gave to her but she intends to give away even the items she did like.
It is thought that Ms Cole wishes to have a complete clear out in order to start building a new life away from her soon to be ex husband.
Lots of the jewellery is said to be of considerable worth and containing a variety of different stones. The stereotype of footballers and WAG's buying expensive jewellery does not seem to show signs of ending. TV shows such as footballer's wives and glossy magazines see to that. The bling style of WAG's is not to everyone's taste though.
The jewellery given away by Cheryl is said to have included earrings and many different necklaces including a precious heart shaped diamond necklace. Several of the items are said to have been too 'bling' for Cheryl's tastes and therefore rarely worn if ever.
It has been suggested that Cheryl has not sold the jewellery as she does not need any more money as it has been reported that luxury jewellery company De Grisogono paid her 250,000 for a 30 minute appearance recently. Cheryl was also said to have received some complimentary jewellery for the 30 minute performance also. Perhaps this jewellery will go some way to replace the jewellery she has given away.
Although Cheryl's jewellery may have been expensive similar looks can be created using fashion jewellery and a costume jewellery necklace can be hard to distinguish from a real diamond or precious stone necklace.
