by Erica Moore

The hardest part of your wedding is the planning. When you are planning your wedding problems seem to pop up from nowhere. With all the things a bride-to-be needs to think about it is not surprising that all the added problems can leave her feeling stressed and unready. Another option is to hire a professional wedding planner to do all the hard work for you. A wedding planner will make sure that you get everything that you need to have the wedding of you dreams. If you choose to plan your own wedding and not hire a wedding planner there are some crucial bits of information that you will need to know.

A realistic organized plan along with an accurate timetable are the keys tools that will help you along the way toward successfully planning your own wedding. The step to planning your own wedding is to be organized, good organization is key to the success of your wedding. The amount of effort that goes into planning your wedding depends on the type of wedding that you want. The size of the wedding as well as the size of the budget will factor into the take it will take to plan you wedding. You should start planning your wedding approximately six or eight months before the date you want to get married, this gives you plenty of time to account for unexpected delays or problems.

With everything the you need to get organized before your wedding it is a great idea to use a check list to keep up to date of what you have and have not completed. Your check list should be prioritized so that the major needs, like your wedding dress and the venue, appear at the top and the further down the list you the less urgent the items get. Things that should be put on your check list are the things that go into the planning of the wedding, things like booking the location, booking the band, deciding on the menu, getting the wedding dress and the tuxes and the guest list.

When you have done all the big things on your checklist, like booking the location, you can move on to the smaller details. If you find yourself struggling to cope it is a great idea to invite your friends and family to help you plan your wedding. To reduce the amount of stress placed upon the bride, it is a great idea to split the remaining tasks between friends and family so that the bride has time to relax before her big day.

Planning your wedding requires you to be highly organized and most of all it requires time, you can't plan a wedding for the next day and hope to have everything go your way you need to set out a realistic timetable and stick to it. If you stick to your schedule and check everything on the checklist you will have planned the wedding of your dreams.
