As a couple you want this to be an amazing day and the best way to get started with your wedding planning is to decide on a theme for the wedding. It's important that every couple takes time to work together and find a theme that is going to suit their personalities. Then you can work off the theme and base the rest of the details of your wedding around this.
One of the most popular wedding themes is the fairytale theme. Brides want to feel like that beautiful princess being swept off their feet and the men don't mind feeling like a prince for a day. There are so many different fun ways to work the fairytale theme, including having a horse drawn carriage instead of a limo to take the couple to their wedding ceremony. Think of opting for a horse drawn carriage rather than a limo ride, as this is going to feel much more traditional and almost make you feel like you're starring in your own fairytale movie.
There are lots of other popular wedding themes as well, including tropical weddings. Guests can dress casual and who wouldn't want to get married on the beachfront with the waves crashing and sun setting? There are lots of wonderful locations for destination weddings including the Caribbean, Costa Rica and the Dominican. These are great weddings if you're looking to soak up the sun and relax, because everyone can dress very casual and you can enjoy your honeymoon right after.
These are the places that most people plan to go to on their honeymoon anyway, so why not make it easier on yourself and get married in the same place? There is also the Valentine's Day theme which is very nice and so romantic. Valentine's Day is such a romantic holiday and the perfect way to incorporate extra romance into your most special day. For the bride who's really daring, she may even decide to don a dress in one of these hues to match.
It's not about impressing other people or about going by other people's standards after all. It's completely up to each couple and what they think is going to make that day most special for them. Hiring a wedding planner is often the safest bet, as they're going to be able to make sure that everything goes through just how you want it to. Once you've decided on a theme you'll find planning your wedding much easier because you can just base all the other details around it.
